What Anodizing Will Do
Anodizing will enhance the natural luster, texture and beauty of the metal itself.
Anodizing will protect the aluminum underneath.
Anodizing is a safe and environmentally friendly process.
What Anodizing Won’t Do
Pre-existing imperfections on the surface of the material will not be hidden by anodizing. E.g. scratches, marks from the extrusion process or embedded debris.
If you can feel a scratch on the surface by rubbing your fingernail across it, then you will be able to see it after it has been anodized.
Anodizing only works on aluminum. Other metals like brass and steel will be destroyed by the process.
